Welcome to Women’s Cervical Cancer Screening Resources! This website will allow you to search for a clinic in your area that offers free or low-cost cervical cancer screening (Pap smears).  Under each clinic, a list of programs the clinic participates in will appear.  These programs differ by:

• age eligibility
• income eligibility: a table provides the upper limits for weekly, monthly and yearly income at different percentages of federal poverty level (FPL) and household size.  For instance, 250% of monthly FPL for a family of 2 is $2,852
• whether they offer additional services such as family planning

Federally Qualified Health Centers

• age: uninsured men and women all ages
• income: income determines sliding scale payment

Family Planning Special Projects Grant

• age: ‘reproductive age’ men and women
• income: less than or equal 200% of federal poverty level
• services provided: complete physical, pap smear, testing for sexually transmitted infections, family planning methods and follow-up testing -  all must be in the context of a family planning visit; services and discounting may vary by clinic
• proof of citizenship required? no

Minnesota Department of Health Colposcopy Program

• age: women under 40
• income: less than or equal to 250% of federal poverty level
• services provided: free colposcopies
• proof of citizenship required: no

Minnesota Family Planning Program

• age: men and women age 15-50
• income: less than or equal 200% of federal poverty level and not eligible for other federal medical programs like Medicaid or Medicare
• services provided: complete physical, pap smear, STI testing -  all must be in the context of a  family planning visit
• proof of citizenship required? yes, though presumed citizenship without proof is valid for 60 days

SAGE

• age: un- and under-insured  women aged 40-64

• services provided: free breast and cervical exam, pap smear, colposcopy (if necessary) mammogram.
